Indiana College Core
Butler recognizes that many in-state first year and transfer students have taken coursework within the 30-credit hour Indiana College Core, a common set of core courses offered through Indiana’s public colleges and universities. Many Indiana College Core courses taken through high school dual enrollment programs or after high school graduation may be considered for credit within the Butler Core Curriculum.

All transfer coursework, including coursework taken as part of the Indiana College Core, is evaluated by Butler faculty with expertise in the content area. In addition, transfer coursework taken by students prior to enrolling at Butler is evaluated differently than transfer coursework taken by students after their initial enrollment at Butler (e.g., courses taken by current Butler students over the summer, etc.).
